Observations on Blue vs Muun wallets

Just tried to send a friend bitcoin for their first time ever. Tried to do it first using blue wallet for each of us and ran into some issues:

Blue wallet on vpn wouldn’t work for me, kept getting an error saying it couldn’t connect to electrum server

Reusing a lightning address didn’t work either, had to make a new one each time.

I switched over to Muun and that worked behind vpn. I funded Muun with btc from blue wallet.

Muun is nice, and but not always clear whether my funds are in lightning or btc layer 1. I think from now on I’m going to use Muun instead of blue wallet.
