I want to suggest we replace this suggestion with something like:
“Only invest money you don’t plan to spend any time soon”
I think this better aligns with the fundamentals of Bitcoin and why people should be investing. Instead of highlighting bitcoin’s volatility it highlights the long-term nature of it.
I think the first statement makes people think more of gambling: “Well I’m only betting what I can afford to lose, if it goes up a ton that’s great, if not I just sell out and lose some money. No big deal, it’s only what I can afford to lose.”
Only investing money you don’t plan to spend helps shift the narrative from Lambos to sound economics and saving.
