I'm now based in Brazil and was needing a new HW, so decided to get another Trezor. For those unaware, Brazil has high import fees, so everything I could find was costing twice as much as the original price. Finally, I found a company that was selling at the original price plus ~$16 in profit. Fair enough, I thought, verified they're certified resellers and pulled the trigger. To my surprise, the shipping package came with the original Trezor (sealed etc) and this: Title translates to \"Bitcoin 101\" It's a 15-page magazine with all the fundamentals about BTC dumbed a bit down so that even your old relative can understand it. It also came with a "physical Bitcoin", just a nice souvenir that resembles the old Casascius coin (bottom right of the picture above). At first I didn't have high expectations but decided to give it a read, and was positively impressed. It contains:
9. How to pay crypto taxes in Brazil and the legislation about it
The taxes part, although short, already makes the user aware of their obligations. All things summed up, the text is well written and the content is extremely relevant. Of all the things I've read for starters, this is by far the best condensed material with all information that a newcomer needs. Kudos to Trezor for sponsoring this. I wish other companies follow suit, because there's no adoption without education. [link] [comments] |
