SPV nodes can't create transactions because they don't have the latest UTXO set But in my understanding an SPV node doesn't need the full UTXO set to be able to construct valid transactions. Let's say the current block height is 100 I have block 94 in memory and I consider transactions in this block as valid. Still I can download blocks up to the current height And build a partial UTXO set from thoses blocks. Then if I want to build a transaction using funds that I received since my node is up I can while having the latest versions of my outputs.
Either my partial version of the UTXO set is valid and I can broadcast my transaction Or then my partial UTXO set isn't valid (in case of non valid blocks with valid PoW) and then my tx is non-valid. (And I can verify the finality of my tx with SPV)
Is that a valid way to do?
