payment methods: ACH asking for bank login??!

Why is Binance asking for your bank's login credentials when you want to set up a ACH? WTF?

Other times I've done ACH transfer required routing and account number and they perform a test deposit with verification. Who would give someone else their bank account login credentials in order to set up ACH? That doesn't make sense. Whatever that third party is would have control over your entire bank balance.

Edit: after more googling, this is a complete WTF. Who in their right mind would give someone else the keys to their bank account.
