People break down and buy a Yubi key or a cold wallet.. Better yet get both!

Ok so I have seen way to many posts all over the place about people having crypto taken.. I imagine most in crypto are in this sub no matter what exchange you use…

If you don’t own a yubi key or a cold wallet go buy them.. these devices are not expensive.. the fact that a Yubikey will stop any intruder into your emails or crypto.com, coinbase, many other exchanges and a lot of hot wallets can use some type of security key..

Do not for the life of you or anyone use 2FA via text.. the fact I’m even still having to mention this is insane.. this is the easy way to gain access to an account. People do sim swaps or I have seen where people have been tricked into giving the 2fa code that was texted to them believing they need to give it to whoever they are taking to in order to “prove it’s actually them”. This is a very common phishing scam and ALOT of people fall for it..

If you don’t do anything to protect yourself.. there is a really good chance you will have things taken.. literally if you have over a couple hundred in crypto.. then a $100 Yubikey or a cold wallet will become a life saver. Having both of these devices is the best practice.

Anyways I don’t care about votes or moons. I don’t expect to get votes. Totally fine with me. I just figure maybe new people getting into this and especially with all the people in this sub now since moons have been listed.. maybe just maybe.. this advice will save your funds.
