I enjoy staking my crypto. I love staking on Cosmos, MTV and others…but DOT user experience for simple staking is straight atrocious.
From minimum requirements to stake, continously inactive going validators, having to choose safe ones, validators only to be told that some are inactive, or just change the minimum staking amount so you gotta redo-it.
Selecting a validator is a troublesome procedure too. Gotta research them check if they are trusted, check their ROI and keep switching from tabs. If your DOT drops below minimum staking balance you no longer get awards. So you either increase or umbound. But 28 days to unbound? Thats plain funny.
Nominating requires at least 120 DOT which is roughly 2300 USD at the time of writing. Oh and gotta watch out to keep 1 DOT in your wallet or it gets deactivated.
Am I bullish on DOT? For sure! I love it!! But staking it is such a pain…they really need to improve it.
