The last Ethereum fork is behind us. If miners wanted to have an ETH fork, they could have used that one. But then, they didn't, so it tells much about their desire to have one.
It gets even weirder when you realize that the best Ethereum chain state for PoW was a year ago, just after the London hard fork. Anything beyond that had absolutely no use for PoW. Even worse, anything beyond that is detrimental to any future development of the PoW chain, as it adds more and more to the protocol that is only aimed at easing the process towards becoming a PoS.
Yet, no miner has participated into the forks that have been made.
That's the two most obvious forks to use, I'd say. They don't even need to do anything, since it's already a fork in itself, except maybe at some point removing the time bomb. And if they aren't even capable of removing the time bomb, I guess it tells much about their ability to maintain the chain and provide any new feature.
My take is a few loud voices would like to pretend all miners are behind them when it's not the case at all.
