 | Hello everyone Every now and then pops up "when next bull" posts in this sub, and everyone is focusing on the next halving of Bitcoin. But sometimes, we need to look at the potential of crypto on a larger scale and not focus on a single cycle. We are now 8 months away from next halving, and i decided to test the performance of a 1000 dollar portfolio if we bought coins that were in the top 5, 8 month before the last two halving. 1st portfolio : top 5 coins of December 2015, 200$ each (halving occurred July 2016)
Portfolio value : Next cycle high : 334 000 $ (x 334) 2021 bull run high : 1,79 M $ (x 17 900) Portfolio metrics : Holdings : 2nd portfolio : top 5 coins of September 2019, 200$ each (halving occurred May 2020)
Portfolio value : Next cycle high : 12.1 K $ (x 12) Portfolio metrics as of today : Holdings as of today : Needless to say that in both cases, a rebalacing strategy (monthly, quarterly,..) would gave us better results. [link] [comments] |
