PSA: Stealth wealth and the Solana Saga

I've seen lots of discussion about Solana's phone lately on this sub.

But one thing that boggles my mind is the fact that by buying one of these and using it out in public, you're advertising that you're into crypto, and not just into crypto, but balls deep into crypto.

The sheer fact that you have a hardware wallet means that you have a substantial amount enough to afford DEX and gas fees. There are tons of really opportunistic people out there who could target you with a wrench attack involving kidnapping and torture as we've seen in a couple of articles posted over the last year.

But this is what really gets my goat and rubs me the wrong way is the fact that Solana didn't even take this into consideration. If they had any forethought, they would have made it look like a generic smartphone with no frills or anything outstanding in terms of aesthetics.

But no, they put three fucking green buttons on the side and a triangular camera bezel. This phone can be identified easily by anyone in this space. They're thinking about looks and sales while endangering your safety.

If you do get one, get an opaque phone protector ASAP.
