Question about NFTs, don’t know where else to ask

A lot of people joke about screenshooting NFTs, but isn’t this a genuine problem?

What’s the point of having a non fungible token if the thing that the token represents is fungible itself? It just seems to be functionally useless and is entirely devoid of intrinsic value. I understand the idea of not actually owning it, but the thing is someone who “copied” the NFT item can derive the exact same utility from it, which is why NFTs just don’t seem to serve any useful purpose
