Hi yall. I was hoping to see what you guys thought of part of my cold storage setup.
I have a hardware device where I initially created my wallet.
Now for backing up my seed phrase I have two methods: the first is a secured a physical form in a safe location with one extra for redundancy.
Now the second part of the seed phrase backup is that which I am unsure of its' true security. I currently have my seed phrase stored on multiple identical usbs flashed with tails linux. The drives contain veracrypt partitions where I store the seeds in a keepassX database (comes standard with tails OS). None of these usbs have interacted with the web in any form.
How safe is the tails OS mode of storage? What attack vectors exist on the physical usb devices other than brute forcing the veracrypt partition and keepass instance. Is there some way someone could flash a malicious tails that I would boot into and it would steal my keys if I was trying to access it? I know this idea seems far fetched but I just want to understand the risks of my setup.
Please let me know what you think in any capacity. Many thanks!
