Yesterday I was actually trying to go through the BTC Miami 2021 and let's just say my sentiment towards bitcoin community changed. After a few clicks through google, I found that the BTC community had suffered a lot of censorship issues. Initially, I refused to believe the fact that the most popular decentralized would be the last thing that would impose censorship. But alas, after an hour of scrolling through Reddit and reading the experiences of other people, I realized that r/Bitcoin is one sub that is censored beyond belief. Even r/cc censors some content I agree, but the censorship over there is surprisingly mad. Do bear with me since I'm a beginner and didn't know this initially until I tried to know more about it. You get banned even for trying to bring up other alts apparently from what the people in the comments are saying So much for the path towards a DeCeNtRaLiZeD world. u/JuicyLoogie's post that got deleted; Can you look at the blatant irony here? As always, happy to hear your thoughts/discussions about it ! I'm still learning a lot and would love to see a healthy discussion take place in the comments :) [link] [comments] |
