Reddit award system going away?

So I keep seeing posts that say that Reddit is going to be taking down or removing it’s a ward system by September 12 and that we have until then to use all of our awards.

My question is, does this affect Cryptocurrency Moons?

If there is a sticky thread about this somewhere, please kindly direct me because I would love some reassurance. If not in one of you find folks has an answer to my question please respond below.

I don’t have just a whole lot of moons but the ones that you have are valuable to me and I would like to them.

Should I be looking at a way to move them off of Reddit in into a wallet prior to the big change?

Also, as long as we’re on the topic, does anyone know what right about the change and how it’s supposed to benefit us? I’m curious to know what the motivation was.
