Reddit seems to be very serious about Web3 and Blockchain lately, there a numerous development positions available at the moment for a NFT Marketplace and for Crypto security.

We can all kind of sense that there is something cooking in the backend of Reddit, especially with all these Avatar drops and the constant development and introduction of community points.

It seems like that Reddit is very serious about it and that they are heading massively into the web3 world. I personally think that this is a very smart move from Reddit, especially considering that other social media platforms are starting or planning to do the same (Telegram, Twitter, Meta...).

So I was tracking a bit Reddits Linkedin page and search what kind of positions they have open, and I notice that a lot of them are related to blockchain...

Here are some examples:

Staff Product Designer for a Marketplace (multiple positions)

build and shape the future of web3

Senior Software Engineer, Crypto Security (multiple positions)

Solidity & Ethereum...

Then we have some other positions such as: Senior Frontend Software Engineer (Contract) - X Marketplace (multiple positions)

The one think that is interesting here is the existence of a so called Reddit X team that is basically responsible for the development of this Marketplace and further development of Avatars, community points and other web3 related products and services.

Reddit is obviously preparing a lot of things this year and our Moons might benefit from it in the longterm, especially if the upcoming marketplace will include the possibility to purchase NFTs/Avatars using community points.

I have to admit that I got a case of FOMO right now, and that I am looking forward to see what will be introduced in the upcoming months.
