I learned this very obvious thing a few weeks back. I had been doing address management with Electrum and Ledger, while organizing BTC deposits by KYC things, with DCA, etc.
Bought new Jade and went about moving a single address' worth of BTC, and was surprised at the number of UTXOs making up that address.
My past self thought "Address = UTXO". I thought I was doing a great thing sweeping $100 smash buys immediately off strike/cash app into the singular address made for them.
My current self realizes the error of my ways. Now I wait for a bit more accumulation before pulling to my wallet.
My future self will thank me for the lesson learned now.
