That's what my Grandad of 93 years did.
Sadly it looks like we will lose him in the coming days, but he has spent the last 34 years of his life living comfortably (money-wise) with his wife and seeing his kids, grand kids and great grand kids all grow up! Pensions and cost of living were amazing, back then - truly different times.
It's got me thinking, I would love to do the same, or preferably earlier. I'm putting everything I can afford to lose into crypto right now and I'm in a fortunate position at 31 with a decent paying job, little financial commitment and no dependants (if you discount the girlfriend that is)
We talk a lot on this sub about lambos and retiring early, but when do you realistically think you'll be able to quit mining fiat?
Are you playing it safe by stacking Satoshis and ETH or are you placing your retirement in the hands of the next Elon-cum-venus-moon-poodle coin?
Fun fact: In 1962 my grandad bet Β£200 on his own horse to win and used the winnings to buy a house!!
