Some years back you could hop into this subreddit, learn about finance, debate about how ecomomies work, beef about which wallet gives more privacy, and pick out the nitty gritty of blockchains.

Blocksize wars to defend the founding principles of Bitcoin were sight to behold. People disagreed, but you could still appreciate the arguments. The winning chain went ahead uninterrupted.

Sending sats to Bitcoin developer wallets to keep them going..The eagerness with watching Segwit activate....Countdown to Taproot upgrade while pushing miners to get on board...Those were good times.

Some dude used to give updates on day-to-day living on Bitcoin as inflation tore through his country. I wonder where he went.

Then the laser eyes and cultic hodl crowd took over

Moderators delete any talk of development on Bitcoin that doesn't align with 'just stack sats and hodl'

It's as if it goes against Bitcoin ethos to think freely. The only thing that matters is green candles to pump your DCA bags.
