Sad day - I have to cash in part of my daughter's 1btc Casascius brass bitcoin

I bought the coin back in 2013 for £230 with instructions to my daughter that she wasn't allowed to open it until her 16th birthday on August 2027. Unfortunately due to exceptional family circumstances beyond our control we now need access to the money held on the token.

It's a sad day because I really hoped that it would stay intact until 2027. We are looking at taking 0.2btc with the remainder going into cold storage.

That said, is there an easy way to sell the coin without redeeming it?. I'm aware there are other forks on there. Regarding the forks house does one claim those at the same time?

Also, if sold as whole what would the current value be?

Edit: Just wanted to give a little update. First of all to those that think I am bullshitting, fuck you. Secondly. We had no option literally. We have been living hand to mouth for the last 7 years. We have a mountain of debt and were going to lose our house. We of course talked to our daughter who was happy to support us. We will try and get it back up to 1btc over the next few months. My wife got a job today so that will help.

Thirdly. My wife and I peeled the sticker together. The private key was on the back of the sticker. The process of getting it into a wallet took less than a minute. I used Electrum wallet and just imported the private key. We have used about £800 to pay some bills so far with the funds exchanged at localbitcoins.

Regarding the other forks. I will try and sweep the keys in the coming weeks but I'm not really sure how to do that. One thing I wondered though is should I destroy the private keys on the sticker? Can it still be used to steal my bitcoin?
