Hey everyone!
I'm currently producing "A history of Crypto" Podcast. This week my colleague Nick and I will be talking about an event that shaped the early narrative for why Bitcoin was so important. Many early adopters also believe this event encouraged Satoshi to follow through with the production of Bitcoin. We're talking about the 2008 Financial Crisis, also known as the 2008 Housing Market Collapse. We travel all the way back to the Great Depression to discuss the lead up to what ultimately would create the worlds most revolutionary currency: Bitcoin.
In order to really grasp the value of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, you have to understand its origin story and the thoughts that led to its inception. This podcast is a tribute to the colossal figures that molded this industry and shaped the foundation of this new set of financial instruments.
Below, I've attached our intro and clips from the first two episodes. The full second episode will be dropping tomorrow morning at 9am CST. If you're interested, let us know some of your thoughts about the topics that we discuss! These episodes are really exciting to research and share! Also, if you have an idea of something that you'd like us to cover, let us know! We're open to suggestions.
The title to this post is mentioned in the Episode 2 Teaser clip below. Feel free to check them out, if you'd like. I know that videos are kinda a sore subject in this subreddit and for good reason. We're trying to do something entirely different, though.
