I received a call today from a robo caller saying they were Coinbase, your 2FA was disabled from Germany. Press 1 if this was in error, 2 if correct. They had my name and email.
I pressed 2 hoping it would get me off their list.
Fast forward 5hrs later and I get a call from a 415 area code - San Francisco, CA (where coinbase is headquartered). Caller ID was "Coinbase".
The guy, American, well spoken, said he's following up the robot call because I reported that it was not me disabling 2fa (pressing 1). I called him out, he admitted to scamming, etc.
Be extremely careful. It's going to get gnarly to detect this crap.
