Scammed by Bitpay for over $320

I was SCAMMED by Bitpay for $300+.

I recently used Bitpay to make a $300+ transaction using the lightning network, and unfortunately, the lightning payment was sent 2 minutes after the Bitpay invoice expired, so I had to contact Bitpay for a refund.

Upon contacting Bitpay support for a refund, I was met with the most clueless, inexperienced employee on the face of the earth. They claimed that they couldn't locate my LIGHTNING transaction on the blockchain (You can't search Lightning transactions on the blockchain!). They even went as far as suggesting that I sent the money to the wrong address, which is literally impossible with Lightning because the exact amount to pay is in the QR code!

How can someone who work for Bitpay support be this incompetent ? I literally have TXid, screenshots of the bitpay invoice page showing the QR code and address, as well as LN address proof that the payment was sent to Bitpay

This is absolutely shocking. I was scammed for over $300 by bitpay. There are no ways to reach competent people either. Please help me spread the word that Bitpay should be avoided at all costs.

I don't expect to ever get my money back.
