Schrödinger's Shitposts

So with moons gaining some substantial value, we’re basically at the point where every post here, no matter how helpful or thoughtful or interesting, could very well have been posted just for the moons. Based on the general vibe around here that any post just for moons is a shitpost, this means that any and all posts (yes, including this one) could or could not be a shitpost trying to collect moons.

Because we cannot ever know the author’s true intent, we cannot be sure (with most reasonably contributive posts) if it’s a shitpost or not. Thus we must conclude that we are unable to make any substantive argument regarding the shitpost status of most posts, and therefore we must treat all posts as shitpost. And thus we likewise must treat all posts as not shitposts.

By the nature of the unknowable shitposting potential, the playing field is leveled. And so we must go forth assuming that all posts are serious and intended to further a serious and meaningful dialogue, while also being a shitpost.

tl;dr: Since we cannot really know if any post intended to be a shitpost, we must treat all posts as serious, while also assuming they are likely shitposts. Thus we must give all posts the benefit of the doubt, and that them all the same.
