Senator Cynthia Lummis: "I buy Bitcoin and I hold Bitcoin. I encourage people to save Bitcoin for retirement"

Senator Lummis was one of the first lawmakers to invest in crypto. She bought 5 bitcoin in 2013 for about $300 each - according to a CNBC article earlier this year. Since then the list of US lawmakers who invested in crypto grew bigger and bigger, according to an analysis conducted by data provider 2iQ Research, 21 members of Congress or members of their immediate family have bought and sold about $1.8 million in crypto-related investments. Now if this is "the official data" I am pretty sure in reality the numbers are much higher.

Is no longer a secret that politicians are feasting from crypto and it seems to me at least unethical that the same politicians are making efforts to regulate the cryptocurrency market.
