[SERIOUS] Blockchain Tech in games is unnecessary. Change my mind.

Might be controversial to some, but I'm genuinely interested in actual benefits of Blockchain Tech in video games... I love crypto but this seems to be one area where a solution is being developed for non-existent problems. Be gentle with your downvotes and rather educate me if you disagree.

The idea:

Using blockchain to create in-game currencies or items that can be bought and sold for real money. The idea is that these items would be stored on the blockchain, and would be immune to fraud or tampering.

Issue 1: Most games are centralised:

However, there are a few problems with this idea. For one thing, most video games are centralised, meaning they are controlled and operated by a single company or group. Adding a blockchain component to these games makes little sense, because the whole point of blockchain is to create a decentralized system.

Issue 2: There is already a functioning system

Using blockchain in video games is unnecessary because there are already established ways of creating in-game currencies and items that are secure and widely accepted. These systems might not be as "sexy" or cutting-edge as blockchain, but they get the job done just fine.

Issue 3: Speed and cost of the decentralisation

Blockchain in video games can be a bad idea because it can be slow and expensive. Blockchain transactions take time to process, and they often require fees to be paid. This might not be a big deal if you're just buying a few in-game items, but it can add up if you're trying to do a lot of transactions.

Issue 4: Additional load of regulation

Finally, using blockchain in video games can also create problems with regulation. In some countries, using blockchain to buy and sell in-game items can be considered gambling, and can be illegal. This can create all sorts of headaches for game developers, and could even lead to legal problems for players. Steam infamously banned all Blockchain games from their platform last year.
