Should I change exchanges?

I am a very low level novice investor but I have recently been ramping up my investments. I make multiple automated weekly investments from a bank account to Coinbase (regular version) and I am holding long term. It appears they charge a 1.49% for the transfer and .5% on the transaction. I am not day trading or cashing out ever otherwise I know Coinbase is not the best option. But for my style of dollar cost average long term investments what you you recommend? Have you had experience changing exchanges? Thanks for your help in advance!
