Sim swap drama

Hi All. Just thought I would share my scary experience this week. Busy at work, somebody hacked my EE mobile network account, ordered an Esim. I got text from EE followed by phone call. Head not quite in the game, worried, gave the caller the code sent by EE on the keypad and gave them access to more or less all my crypto exchanges accounts via 2FA. (They were bloody convincing). I feel so lucky that I don't hold any crypto on exchanges and it was on my ledger, which was untouched. Wanted to share to help others ensure the same thing doesn't happen to them, its not a nice feeling. I now have gained back control of my number, email address and crypto exchange accounts, but the stress was intense! If you are holding crypto on exchanges, buy a hardware wallet ASAP, without my HW I would have lost a chunk! Stay blessed!
