Since people like whole units of things, shouldn't .1, .01 and .001 BTC have names?

Would BTC be more accessible to people looking to jump in if named sub-units were within reach? Dealing with decimals is not very encouraging and this will only get worse as the value of Bitcoin continues rising. A tenth may become the next "whole coiner" status symbol, which is currently on it's way to reaching 10k with some predictions calling for 20k-40k after this halving. That is a significant investment for someone new and it's just a decimal.
