Someone selling Mr. GeeOd #138 on OpenSea, but I own #138? Confused
Just was browsing open sea and saw a Mr. GeeOd #202 listed for .0251 ETH (less than in app purchase price with ETH price at $1,500)
Went a little farther and saw #138, but that is the mint number of the one I own. How can this be?
There was only 200 mints for Mr. GeeOd, so how can this be 202? Pardon my ignorance if Iβm missing something completely obvious here. How can someone be listing #138? Is it a scam?
It got me wondering, what % of sales are scams or attempted mint copies? Is there a track record of this? Iβd be shocked if there wasnβt at least a handful of cases.
Also seeing a potential opportunity for a 3rd party to verify sales before they happen. Sort of how trading cards are appraised and scored, but more black and white.
The massive increase of listings of Reddit avatars on Open Sea seems strange to me. Either whale or scam activity? Thoughts?
