If i remember correctly i think i was staking 8 eth and was amazed that just the gas fees for staking basically cost the same amount as the staking rewards for 1-2 months (i could be totally wrong here, i did not do conscious math, just remember i found it to be significant)..
I guess staking is only worth if you do it for some months, what do you think? Guess this is a math question, and i fail it.
There is the 'stake eth fee' and 'unstake eth' fee and then the 'claim eth' fee. I fail in my research how much these cost (find a website that shows current prices).
Is there any website that shows how high these fees (stake/unstake and claim fees) currently are? https://milkroad.com/ethereum/gas/ shows current fees for swaps and bridging - how do unstaking and claiming (and sending for that matter) compare? Thanks for tips
ps Staking service i use is Kiln (in my ledger hw wallet).. there is option to stake 32eth and lesser than that number of eth (they take 8% of the staking rewards when you put 32eth in, and 12% of staking rewards when you use their 'pool' service with less eth) - actually these fees i forgot, would have also put them in that calculation.
And probably also taxes (i think in my country i pay 28.5% on all staking rewards and i cannot subtract fees).
pps I am not talking about using the 'we stake for you' Service of a centralized exchange, i am talking about using a service like kiln, where you do it with your own self-custody wallet..
(any exchange i guess has to be pricier than doing it yourself, cause the centralized exchange also takes a cut.. well, kiln also takes a cut)
