'Stealth Censorship'

People are looking for maybe the hardcore overt censorship, which is totally coming as well. But they really haven't thought through how game theory and soft power would be exerted to get stealth censorship.

Basically we have a run away train with the entire idea of validators even being able to see blocks. We also don't exclusively have a validator issue, we have a liquidity issue which is related the underlying causes of the first issue; i.e, we're begging corporations with Western Legal Nexus not to do bad things.

If it has gotten to the point you have to exert social pressure or beg Corporations, you already lost.

The true bad actor in the space is of course the dollar denomination and USDC and regulations related to stable coins. Small actor are hard to pressure, but big actor, institutional money and liquidity is easy to legally target.

We're hearing talks in the Cosmos ecosystem that USDC could just ban entire appchains and swaths of the Cosmos ecosystem. Black balling entire IBC bridges. This completely rugs liquidity.

Having DeFi rely on a stable you can't control though decentralize means is pretty self explanatory.

SBF is making posts loosely alluding to the US gov just outright white listing huge segments of the ecosystem.

Dedollarization isn't going to happen entirely in DeFi, but this reliance on what will clearly be de facto american CBDCs is untenable.

We need a non-state, but sovereign, stateless, real world pegged currency, a new one, not based on another country, and not based on banking in Western Europe, the US, Russia, or China. Tether is the blue print for how to go about this, we basically need many more dozens of tethers, spread all over the world in dozens of jurisdictions. It won't make it unregulated, not entirely, just drastically more fair and more in parity with diplomatic fairness. It would greatly lessen the severity of statist censorial control that the EU, US, and China are trying to exert.
