Stepping into the ring with Wall Street

Seeing a lot of posts expressing concerns that Wall Street firms will be able to control Bitcoin now because of the ETF. My question is, how did anyone ever expect Bitcoin to become the dominant world currency without stepping into the ring with the heavyweights and winning the fight?

Yes, these firms are going to be able to manipulate the price in the short term, but the way I see it, the fox has been let loose in the hen house. No amount of centralized building on top of Bitcoin is going to change the underlying protocol. As long as the rest of us have the ability to run nodes and enforce the rules, Bitcoin will remain the best money the world has ever known.
