Stolen Ledger

A few hours ago my car was broken in to and my bag stolen which contained my ledger, amongst other things.

My seed phrase is in a secure location in a different country but won't have access to it for for another few days.

1) Is it safe to wait that long to transfer funds to a new wallet. My passport was also stolen so they have my identity and I so I can't get out of the country quickly.

2) I need to report the theft to the police for my car insurance policy in the morning. Is there anything to be gained by mentioning the stolen Ledger device? It wasn't declared at customs when I entered the country.
