Story of two very different Crypto "investors"

In early 2017 my colleagues caught me pretend working and looking at charts and started asking questions about crypto. eventually they said "okay show us how to buy this bitcoin thing" so they did both buy roughly 100€ worth.

First guy, He got all enthusiastic about numbers and started checking charts and mentioning price action almost every day to me, in 2017 bull run When he saw he was making some profit he started jumping from coin to coin to catch the "next pump", He joined coin specific channels and groups to justify his trading and basically barely made any profit.

Second guy, He bought 100€ worth of crypto, uninstalled coinbase app and completely forgot about it, even when BTC hit ATH in late 2017 we asked him "are you not gonna sell some?!" He said "nah, it was only 100€ I don't care, I'll just leave it for few years"

Fast forward it to 2021 and first guy "left" crypto, he said "It's too stressful and unless you have a lot of money it's not worth it" and second guy still has that 100€ worth of crypto on his coinbase which is obviously worth a lot more now. without a single worry or any stress

What I think moral of this is that More invested you become to all this space, more you compromise yourself to be a victim of emotions. If you are here long term, it's good to sometimes take a break from all this, Only set alerts for prices going up, unfollow coin specific cults because usually there's no healthy discussions there but rather unrealistic predictions over and over and Remember if price movements (like this one, today) is mentally or emotionally affecting you that means you are overdoing it.
