Story time…

Created a Coinbase account around the spring of 2017. Got a bonus at my job around that time and decided to take a big risk and throw half my bonus into bitcoin barely knowing anything about it but hearing a lot of good things. At the time bitcoin was going for ~ $1,500 so with $5,000 I was able to get 3.33 bitcoins. Fast forward to December of that same year, I was on the verge of selling once it hit an ATH of $19k but decided not to. A few weeks down the road, I got locked out of my Coinbase account (which I thought would be forever). I knew my Coinbase credentials but forgot my Gmail password and I had 2FA with my Gmail. I tried every step possible to get back into my Gmail but after several attempts.. I told myself it would be $5,000 I won’t see again. I completely forgot about Coinbase and bitcoin for the past 6 years. Just yesterday while scrolling through some old emails on my Yahoo I came across an email that I had sent myself from 2015 with the password of my Gmail account. I was able to get back into my Gmail account and Coinbase and saw my 3.33 bitcoins still sitting there peacefully.
