I've seen a few threads saying that if room temperature superconductors have been invented you might get more efficient miners, which seems true to me but I think we're not seeing the larger picture. Superconductors will also greatly incentivise tapping into "stranded" energy, which of course will not be stranded anymore because you are now able to transport it through much longer distances. This will make it much more profitable to set up base and start mining anywhere. As the superconducting power grid gets connected to the stranded miner can profit by supplying energy to the grid, wether he keeps mining or not. This reminds me of Brandon Quittem describing the bitcoin network like mycelium, making connections and feeding on energy to recycle it into the ecosystem.
