Take time to backup your 2FA. Here is how

We hear a lot of horror stories on here about people losing their phone and not being able to get back into some of their accounts because of Two Factor Authentication (2FA). Causing a lot of headaches.

Everyone should take some time and make a backup for their 2FA if you haven’t done so already. I use Google Authenticator and they make backing up your account easy. I have it on my iphone and have a backup on my ipad. An Android device would work just as well. Simply click export accounts and scan the QR codes with your other device. Now you have a backup in case something happens to your phone.

(Alternatively if you don’t have a second device you could use a phone of someone you trust like a family member. They won’t have your password for the account, just your 2FA so security shouldn’t be an issue. Another option: You can also print the QR codes out and place them in a safe place. Just make sure the QR codes scan properly after you print them.)
