For those out of the loop, the Bank of England chief economist made a comment about the current economic and financial conditions. In his remarks he said “What we’re facing now is that reluctance to accept that yes we’re all worse off, we all have to take our share". The absolute arrogance of his statement, as if we all are in the same boat. Yahoo Finance state his salary as starting at 190k. But for reference, the median salary in 2020 was 31,461 pounds. Quite a ways off., at least being 6-7x more likely than the average person. And of course, every month the excess over the median salary only multiplies and compounds over time on top of him having amazing job security compared to everyday plebs who are fired at the drop of a hat.
Now aside from the ad hominems, this the the financial system we are supposed to believe in. This is the worthless financial system we are suppose to trust, that failed out parents and failed and are still failing us. We are supposed to give everything living a traditional life of traditional investing and a rotten banking system, a system that gives nothing back to us, expects spitting on us and pittance for hundreds of hours of thankless work while fat cats at the top roll around in their filthy fiat paper. A system that continues to print away fiat that keeps the rich rich and slowly steals the monetary value of the savings and earnings of the disadvantaged.
I think I speak for all of us when I say, F**K THAT!
