The first L2 dapp rollup on Tezos has been released on testnet: VPoker!

Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with SalsaDAO team, I am a Tezos enthusiast and the VPoker, being the first dapp rollup to be released, is a great milestone for Tezos! Hopefully it will not result in black listing of my account or SalsaDAO project.

The layer 2 optimistic rollup framework released on Tezos, called SORUs (Smart Optimistic Rollup), caught the attention of tech researchers in the blockchain world, such as apolynya.

Tezos rollups are "enshrined", embedded in the L1, as opposed to Ethereum smart contract rollups, which brings a lot of advantages: efficiency (cheaper computation), bridge is already built in (no risks of a poor smart contract implementation), permission-less refutation (Optimism has no refutation or Arbitrum has permissioned refutation).

Developers can now deploy their own dapp rollup by building their kernel in rust and compile it to WASM. Its also possible to simply deploy solidity code on the universal EVM rollup (still in development but should be released this year) or the Michelson rollup (already live)

SalsaDAO team has just released the first dapp rollup, ready to test on testnet! Players submit directly to the sequencers enabling low latency actions, great showcase for the gaming capabilities of tezos rollups (Ubisoft should soon follow up on this)
