The level of post karma earned in this subreddit is rising

Last month, r/CryptoCurrency was ranked #5 for posts per day, yet #601 for post karma - a huge discrepancy not seen in other top subreddits. This represented an all-time-low: Link.

In the ~30 days following the collection of this data, the situation has significantly improved - we are now ranked #6 for posts per day and #118 for post karma.

This is still significantly lower than other subreddits:

Top 50 subreddits (by subscriber count) + /r/CryptoCurrency. Subreddits typically have a karma ranking similar to their posts per day ranking (a value of ~1) - or a higher karma ranking value (value of >1).

But it's a step in the right direction. We are no longer at an all-time low:

There has been a noticeable shift toward higher quality content lately, and an increase in moderation/post removal - likely explaining the rise.

/r/CryptoCurrency remains the sub where you have to either work the hardest or be the luckiest in order to earn karma - but the situation is improving.
