The ‘metaverse’ is a desperate attempt for Facebook to retain their influence in the social media space

No one asked for the meta-verse. A small, unelected, unaccountable, unconnected group of filthy rich executives are making decisions about how we use and feel about ‘new technology’ - Even the technology to create it doesn’t exist yet; Google glasses never took off for a reason - now Marc wants to make holographic augmented reality space? We are two decades out at least.

Like working from home wasn’t shitty enough, now they want us to put glasses on and be forced back into an augmented office space? Yeah right!

The truth is, Facebook is a failing company, less people are using it each year, and they are desperately trying to retain engagement - even going so far as advertising to children (which was scrapped, thank God) - so they changed their name and are pathetically trying to carve out and create a new market all while warpping our sense that it’s necessary and inevitable. ITS NOT. Billions of dollars are being thrown at this and no one really understands it! Define meta-verse for me, you cannot!!

Like we didn’t hate Mark Zuckerberg enough for creating the greatest addiction algorithm that plays off negative emotions - I swear there is nothing billionaires won’t do to become more wealthy.
