The first ever transaction was done 19 days ago, where $51 in moons (at the time) was used to buy an avatar. However, it would still be nicer for reddit to just implement a market-ish thing where redditors can buy the avatars they like for moons. After all, at the current time period, buying avatars with moons depends entirely on trust, as there is nothing you can do buy ask someone trustworthy to be the middle person, but not many like to take that responsibility.

Just like moons are rising in price, avatars are also slowly climbing up as they gain traction, well, everywhere! In this more recent transaction, reddit avatar butterfly #559 was sold. The best offer on this avatar is currently at 0.037 eth, which is currently about 47.52 dollars.

People in this sub have been asking about this for a long time, stating that buying avatars with their moons was the most logic thing reddit can implement. Well, without reddit helping, users themselves are buying avatars for moons now! This is a step in the right direction. After all, many people buying and selling avatars are members of this sub themselves. We went from disliking the avatars to asking when wave 2 will come, discussing the prices of reddit avatars, and talking about the breathtaking prices that some rare avatars with rarer serial numbers have sold for. What a long journey we have partaken in!
