I remember seeing an interview (or was it a Twitter space?) with CZ from Binance less than a year ago and he basically said that most people don't know how to properly self-custody their crypto, so they are actually putting themselves at risk by not storing it on Binance.
But again, if we look back at what happened in 2021 people were using words like "risk-free" or "zero risk" or "Zero downside" or some combination of words that essentially resulted in guaranteed profits to whom so ever threw their money at the project in question.
What we can expect to see in the next few years is a combination of words that makes an investment seem like it is "Low risk." instead of "risk-free" or "zero risk." or they'll say something like "Most trusted." or they'll take some paper that was written by harvard / stanford / yale PhDs, mimic it as much as possible, and then use "insert especially credited university here" as the baseline for their "low risk" investment opportunities.
