I know it sounds a little far fetched but, the reality is we are still on the very early side of currency being digital and globally universal. Billions of people still go about their day using a local currency or a Visa card.
If the world is to run on a universal digital currency and Bitcoin is the store of wealth instead of fake gold dollars, then we are basically still in the digital version of prospectors trading a pinch of gold dust for a shot of whiskey.
Just my opinion but, I don’t think it’s a matter of can Bitcoin be worth that much but, rather will it be here in 10, 20 or 50 years.
The main thing holding universal currency back is politics and greed and younger people have had enough. The current system can only last so much longer before people burn it to the ground. A borderline reset in this day and age practically requires digital.
So the question isn’t can bitcoin reach 100x it’s value? The question is more likely will Bitcoin still be THE digital currency when digital currency settles and levels out like gold.
TLDR: Id love to hear opinions from someone with a bumpier brain than mine on what 20-50 years ahead looks like.
