The risk of not doing anything.

So yesterday I had a lengthy conversation with my brother and amongst other topics we talked about investing and crypto. I revealed I'm going hard into crypto and asked him what he thought of it. Well, he remaind adamant to the viewpoint that real estate is the way to go and investing into crypto is risky.

That got me thinking and I came up with several reasons why not getting involved in crypto is also a risk.

1. Like it or not, but crypto and blockchain technology is the future with applications in the fields of IT, finance, commerce, data management, ecology even medicine and supposedly other areas we haven't thought of yet.

2. It will see everyday use and widespread adoption in the general public within a few years when made user friendly regardless the level of aptitude of the consumer.

3. If one misses out on getting the basics of crypto now, they'll have it more difficult to adopt to it in the future, considering how fast the pace of its development is going.

4. Also, missing out on buying it at current prices, will see future investors at a disadvantage.

5. The experience and skillset obtained by earlier investors will get them into a stronger position in the future market.

6. Self development. I can honestly say that whilst crypto hasn't yet made me a significant profit financially, it has led me to get a better understanding how money works, taught me discipline and patience. It has made me to invest my time and effort to get wiser in the ways of it, leading to me becoming a more avid learner.

So, considering the aforementioned, I do find that not taking action now is as much of a risk as getting into crypto and maybe getting burnt at first, but taking ones lessons from it.

You don't get something from nothing, right?
