The way people talk about the bear market during the bullrun make it seem like making good returns is very easy. Is it really as simple as it sounds ?

It seems like buying Bitcoin and other major alts at a large discount is almost too good an opportunity.

Another cycle has came and went. Let’s say Bitcoin bottoms out at around 20k (could be lower but it doesn’t matter). If I keep buying BTC, and it soars past 100k in 4 years. Thats 400% roi. Every 100$ I put in becomes 500$ in 4 years. That scenario, while optimistic, is not that bold all things considered. Is it really that easy ?

I started to DCA 100$ every week around 2 months ago. Is it really that simple to make good returns and make a good amount of capital ? Am I missing something ? Are all the people losing money just not patient enough ? I have absolutely no problem with dumping 100$ every week for the next 5+years into crypto no matter how much it keeps dropping.

I’m done with swing trading as my records have proven to me that I’m not special and that I’d be better off just HODLING and I’ve come to peace with that reality. My goal is grow my portfolio to around 100k by 2027.

It all seems almost too good to be true. I won’t get into alts as it’s a gamble at this point but I guess that if any of the alts I hold survive the bear market, We could realistically see returns even greater than BTC. It seems like the returns we’ve seen in the past are almost too crazy to be true or to happen again.

Have any of you had a similar investment strategy ? Similar DCA amount (100$/week). What kind of returns have you gotten over the last 5+ years ? Is there something you wish you could tell your past self at a similar point during the market cycle ? Any advice for someone looking to make decent returns from relatively conservative (in crypto terms) investment.

The bulk of my portfolio is into BTC and DOT (slowly increasing my stake in the ecosystem ACA, GLMR…). I’m not looking for advice on asset choice by the way (I’m happy with the horses I chose).

Is the hard part just dumping money periodically on a burning ship for a few years? If that’s the case, I believe in crypto enough or rather I hate banks enough to do that.
