Between the two there is a really profound shift in the type of anxiety that you feel. People in the latter category have much more mixed feelings about the line going up than those in the former. The more conviction you have about bitcoin itself, as opposed to what it can do for your purchasing power in the short-term, the more anxious you feel when the price goes up. That is because the faster the price goes up the lower your relative purchasing power long-term.

This is especially true of people who sold at previous peaks only to see the purchasing power they could have had later.

The impact this psychological effect has on bitcoin transitioning to lindy induces current conviction, which reinforces the effect. The effect induces current demand, holding up or increasing the price.

If you understand this then you will experience joy when the price drops or flatlines for long periods.
