There’s one thing that rings true with all bitcoin critics.

They simply don’t understand bitcoin. As warren buffet said “ I don’t believe in bitcoin, but I also don’t know anything about it”

Imagine getting on a plane, and the pilot says “I have no idea how to fly a plane, but I think I can figure it out anyway, hop on!”

You’d be just as dumb to get on this plane than to listen to anyones opinion of bitcoin, other than an expert who thoroughly understands all aspects of bitcoin. You must also be somewhat of an expert on economics to see how bitcoin can be applied to solve our economical problems… long story short, most people don’t and never will have this ability.

The way I usually explain it, most people don’t understand propulsion, aerodynamics, or even simply how a jet engine creates enough thrust to keep a 200,000 pound hunk of aluminum in the air. Yet these people fly on airplanes every day without even thinking twice, why? Because they’ve seen airplanes take off and land thousands of times per day, their experience with airplanes is that they are safe and they work. bitcoin is basically going to have to do this for people. They will simply have to see for themselves that it’s safe and it works, the trust/belief in bitcoin is not going to come from people understanding it, but rather people seeing it solve problems as well as work for them.
