Things have to change. You can not unsee it. A list of what i think has to change

This post is about Moons not this subreddit. It is not meta, please dont tell me to go that noonetheresub.

People say all the time Moons are powered by shitposting. And it is not untrue. Because of the way you earn them is definitely much easier by shitposting.

I have been here for many years now and i can say people did produce lots of tools and useful posts here even when there were no Moons. So why is that? Why was this subreddit producing good stuff back then but not really today? (Even when this sub was driven by the memes)

I believe the answer is the way to earn Moons. No, i dont think Moons are the problem. They are great but the way to earn them is.

Great tool. It is really helpful and there was no Moons back then. It got 12.3k upvotes when this sub didnt have even 1m subs. But people were producing great stuff. So i did that list of informative posts here. While i did it, i was planning to find all the other good posts here. But i couldnt find some, maybe they are deleted at this point it is irrelevant but There were also some other great posts who got lots of upvotes even when there were memes.

This person made a whole website here without no ads. And about the one most talked topic around here, also among the newbies. Annnd got 7.5k upvotes 5 months ago. I am not telling you no other posts deserve more upvotes than these kind of posts. What i am telling is It is a lot easier to make Moons by shitposting. Let me show you one of the youngest tools on here:

I saw it and i was like "Wow, that is a one great post" I went and searched my name on it right that moment. And This post got a fucking 103 upvotes. This guy again later (yesterday) made a leaderboard of that tool and this time got 280 upvotes, like about three times of the post of the tool itself. Again i am not arguing about these kindof posts deserving thousands more upvotes. What i am telling is It is a lot easier to make Moons by shitposting.

While i was making it i was hoping to find useful posts i lost. (I changed account, lost my old saved posts) So I made the post. And i posted it. About in an hour i believe i ve seen a writing on it says it got removed by a mod. No explanation, nothing. At least tell me why, damit, so i can fix it and post again.

And i decided to change nothing and post it again. So i posted it. They didnt remove it this time, lucky me. Anyways I gave that post around 50 mins and got 111 upvotes. I got woke up today. I wondered how many upvotes i got. Come on Reddit, open it, please. Reddit showed me those 111 upvotes. I was like i lost 50 mins for this. But It is okay i helped people. At least good to find those posts. I am not super thirsty on moons like you can see my moon numbers but it would feel good to have some upvotes when you gave your 50mins away.

Meanwhile some 38. dude told his family about crypto and got burned or some 23. gf is angry at his bf. Boom 3k 5k 10k. I am not telling you not to upvote them. I am telling you it is easier to earn by posting shit. The rules to earn moons are just pushing you to post shit. Actually comment shit. Even shitposting is hard when you compare it to shitcommenting.

Go to the daily thread, there i believe i can do 3x of what i made out of that list i posted with same given time. ^{Sorry for my English, i learnt English from pc games in highschool.} The world is round. Go there and say "good morning". Say "goodnight". It is morning somewhere all day. Boom you got 4 upvotes for 2 words. It is actually 8 karma because of the comment bonus. Say it again 6 hours later. Reply the incoming comments. Talk about Moons, tell them "Moons are burning alive today". Tell them how much you love ETH. Tell them how solid you like ARGO. Just pick a coin they like. Say "Goodnight" If they tell you that you just had said "good morning" tell them you sleep during the daytime. I am not doing this stuff but look at those comments. I also comment nonsense there but i dont do unhonest stuff. I mean Because it is easy. At one point you became friend like with the people there. You get my back i get yours. You can make 150 - 200 karma in an hour if you push it. With the 2x you got 400.

Make a second account, open vault, comment around. People will tip you. (I dont do this shit) Transfer it to your main, comment around again, People will see it is zero. Get the tips. Make a third account. Because it is easy. Much easier.

The rules have to change to earn Moons. Here is what i think should change.

"Proposal: Double Comment Karma" (Shitcommenters gonna hate me) You are pushing people to shitcomment because it takes little to no time. The question is why would i make a useful post when i can comment anything in no time?

"Proposal: Limit post karma to 1k and limit comment karma to 1k per comment" Post limit is good to me. Comment limit should should be about 200-300 at most. Some OPs are farming comment karma by commenting on their own posts. Because you let them. Because it is easy. And what is the point of having limit on 1k limit on comments. How many comments do reach the amount?

Making pools with two answers and one is "leave as is" is another joke. "But the community has decided it" my ass.

"Proposal: Change moon distribution for comedy posts and media posts" Make the limit 300 for Media. And who does use Media flair after this rule? Look at the all news around subreddit, how many MEDIA flaired news-post can you see? There are accounts with over 10k 20k 40k moons. Made tons of moons by copy and pasting news. Because it is easy. They dont even flair them as MEDIA. The limit you put doesnt work, because they dont use the flair. Flairs. The flairs here is a unfunny joke. This part will be meta but small. We dont even have the "Educational" flair anymore. I have no idea for what reason i got removed. Look at those flairs. We have 2 Moons flairs. I mean, Why? One flair is "Client"?? So my problem here is, lets say a newbeginner want to search on here to learn. Which flair should s/he use? Client? Exchange? Finance? We should bring back the "Educational" flair. And put a double bonus on it. With a limit of 1500 karma.

A New Flair: "Tools" We had lots of great products over here. And i believe we get have many more. People on this subreddit made lots of great stuff. Why dont we award them and push people to produce more great stuff? Yes, I believe we should make this a flair and We should give it 4x Bonus. Yes 4x. This guy made a whole website with no ads. Look at this thecoinperspective.com by u/lovinglyhandmade Ofcourse he deserve 4x if you ask me. More than a "I am 21 woman, my boyfriend is stupid" story. Put a limit of 3000 karma. Dont make is smaller than that. Push people to produce damn it. Make it easier to earn Moons by making good products/ useful posts.

Yes Story flair. Put a limit of 500 moons like "Comedy".

Last, MODS have to be strict about Flairs. And should warn and punish the wrong flair usage if necessary. People are tricking flairs to get moons. This means stealing, robbing. Stealing from others posters, commenters here.

TLDR:

The way moons are distributed is broken and incentivizes shitposting over quality. (u/Notyourregularthrow) And we can change it simply by manipulating the rules.
