Hmmm, this could have been written yesterday and hold just as much magnitude as it did when first spoken.

This is in complete solidarity with cryptocurrency, relevant after centuries.

"I predict future happiness for Americans, if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them."

This is not limited to the US, regimes across the world currently partake in this abuse. Wasting the labors of their people and pretending to try and fix problems that could have been fixed long ago.

Jefferson was ahead of his time in many respects, and seeing these quotes was surprising to say the least. Hits pretty hard after seeing the garbage put forth by governments about cryptocurrency.
